Listing an Item

When listing your item, you'll first select the category it belongs in. Different categories have different fields, and some may include extra fees for the buyer, such as copyright fees for artwork.

If you're unsure about the right category or can't find it, you can still proceed. Our team will review your listing, place it in the correct category, and might request additional details before it's published.

Be thorough in describing your item. Clearly explain its condition, appearance, and relevant details to help potential buyers make informed decisions.

Take clear, high-resolution photos that showcase your item effectively. Include images of any flaws, as transparency ensures accurate valuation and builds trust. Providing background or history can significantly increase interest and bidding activity.

Valuation and Reserve Price

You can enter a valuation reviewed by an expert, which may be used to set the starting bid after consulting you. Providing a price range can also indicate your expected selling price.

Set a reserve price—the minimum you're willing to accept. You're not obligated to sell unless bids meet or exceed the reserve price. Without a reserve, or if the reserve is met, you're committed to selling once your listing is published.

Item Delivery

You can require buyer pickup or offer shipping. Provide detailed instructions for pickup, including location, timing, and contact details.

If offering shipping, add a fixed shipping fee payable by the buyer. Ensure shipping is traceable and includes recipient signature confirmation for payment verification. If you're not ready to submit your listing immediately, save a draft accessible anytime under "Sell."

Review your listing carefully before submitting it for approval.

Submitting Your Item for Review

Our team or category experts review your listing for completeness and clarity. We might make minor edits directly. If significant changes are needed, you'll be asked to revise before approval.

Our experts aim to maximize transparency and value. Changes are made to ensure clarity, accuracy, and fair pricing. You trust our experienced experts, who ensure Uppbod.com remains a trusted, reliable marketplace.

Rejected listings come with explanations, allowing you to adjust and resubmit if the rejection pertains to the listing details rather than the item itself. You can withdraw your listing before the review begins by emailing [email protected].

Remember, if an auction is published and your reserve price is met, the sale is binding. Failure to complete the sale will incur relevant fees outlined in our Terms of Use and Seller Terms.

During the Auction

Once your item is published, sharing your auction with interested communities increases bids and visibility. While we actively market ongoing auctions, your efforts as a community member also greatly impact success.

Activity typically spikes near auction close. You’ll receive a notification when your item is bid on. If your item is not sold you can sell to the highest bidder.

Delivering Sold Items

Once your item sells and payment is confirmed, you’ll receive the buyer’s details. For direct handovers, mark the item as "Delivered" in our system and ask the buyer to confirm receipt to trigger your payment.

For shipped items, mark as "Shipped" when shipped, and "Delivered" after delivery confirmation from the shipping provider. Prompt confirmation prevents payment delays.

You remain responsible for the item until confirmed delivery. Choose traceable shipping and insure items if necessary.

Receiving Payment

Payments to sellers are processed after the buyer confirms receipt, or automatically after 72 hours if undisputed. You'll receive the highest bid minus our seller’s commission plus any additional fees such as shipping cost or other cost that you have accepted before your items are auctioned.

Payments are made weekly on Wednesdays for items delivered to buyers and are undisputed 72 hours after delivery.

Returns and Disputes

Buyers may raise issues if descriptions or images don’t match the item. Accurate, detailed listings minimize disputes. Clearly specify any specific conditions without contradicting our standard terms.

In disputes, we encourage sellers and buyers to seek resolution together first. However, Uppbod.com may intervene if a satisfactory resolution isn't reached.
